Meadow Heights Education Centre has provided a successful free homework club for school age children since 1994, targeting students who are struggling with everyday issues regarding their Education.   The main focus is on English and Mathematics.  Students are encouraged to bring their homework or discuss problem areas where they are falling behind:  A letter from a teacher is a great way of identifying areas that the tutors are able to assist childrens needs.

  • Primary School children are assisted between the hours of 3:30pm and 5:00pm
  • Secondary School Youth are assisted between the hours of 5:30pm and 7:00pm

  • Each child must be accompanied by a parent on the first day to register with the Homework club Co-Ordinator
  • Parents are encouraged to chat with the Co-Ordinator about their childs needs
  • The centre closes at 5:00pm for Primary School students and 7:00pm for secondary students, parents must pick up their children before closure.
  • Please NOTE:   If a child is left for more than 30 minutes after hours without contact from a parent the police will be notified.

2018   This year MHEC received funding from the "Australian Communities Foundation", to work with CMY to extend the homework club to the Craigieburn area.  This is a free program and will commence in April.
